Title: Patient Care Advocate (PCA)
Schedule: Tuesday-Thursday, 8:00am-6:00pm(PCA)
Position Summary: Located in Franklin, VA, our healthcare team is currently seeking a Patient Care
Advocate who is a team player, dependable, outgoing with a positive attitude, and customer friendly. Our
front desk staff is vital to the success of our clinic. We strive for outstanding customer service and expect
the faces of Southside Diabetes to be patient and welcoming.(PCA)
About:Southside Diabetes is comprised of a team of professionals providing holistic healthcare for adult
diabetics encompassing mind, body, and soul. Our treatment plans focus on teaching with enhancements
for medication, nutrition, health, and wellness. We also specialize in insulin pump therapy and continuous
glucose monitoring (PCA)
Responsibilities and Requirements: The duties and responsibilities of a Patient Advocate involve
serving as a liaison between patients and healthcare professionals, including the following.(PCA)
- Work closely with patients to understand their healthcare concerns and needs
- Assist patients in understanding and navigating their health insurance policies
- Assist patients with appointment scheduling, referral processing, answering phones, and collecting money owed
- Maintain work operations by following policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and clinic staff
- Ensure patient confidentiality and uphold patient privacy rights
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Other duties as assigned
