Certified Medical Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team.
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting providers with patient care, as well as clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.
You will help in maintaining the smooth workflow of all healthcare operations by performing routine administrative and clinical duties.
You will also ensure that patients receive the best possible care by assisting in their examination and treatment, under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic laboratory tests
- Record patient information such as vital signs, medical histories, and symptoms
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures
- Administer injections or medications as directed by providers
- Schedule patient appointments and manage healthcare documentation
- Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance of all facilities, exam rooms, and equipment
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members while maintaining confidentiality
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Proven experience as a medical assistant or similar role
- Knowledge of medical terminologies and procedures
- Familiarity with healthcare systems, regulations, and procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Compassionate and sensitive to patient needs and concerns
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Current CPR certification
