Title: Contracted Registered Nurse

Schedule: Tuesday – Wednesday and the role has the ability to grow to 4 days as needed

Position Summary: Located in Franklin, VA, our healthcare team is in need of a Registered Nurse who is dedicated to providing exceptional care for our patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling trainings, training patients on insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and ensuring the high standards of the practice. 

About: Southside Diabetes is comprised of a team of professionals providing holistic healthcare for adult diabetics encompassing mind, body, and soul. Our treatment plans focus on teaching with enhancements for medication, nutrition, health, and wellness. We also specialize in insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring. 

Responsibilities:

• Scheduling patients new to insulin pumps or continuous glucose monitoring for training
• Training patients on insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors (CGMs)
• Management of our outpatient weight management program
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families/caregivers
• Willingness to expand knowledge and capabilities
• Collaboration with practice providers 
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a registered nurse
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures and willing to follow them at all times
• A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills

License/Certification: 

• Current Virginia license
